This is a technical model for girl-led activism and norms shifting, “Learning Communities on the Move (LCOM)”, developed in partnership between CARE’s Tipping Point Project and Empower – The Emerging Markets Foundation. Emerging from the understanding that girls’ expertise is visibly absent from decision-making spaces that affect their lives and rights, the LCOM model challenges the root of this dynamic through the cultivation of girl-led activism. The LCOM model, separated into two core practical and user-friendly packages, includes a guide for mentors and trainers involved in girl-led programming and activism and a guide to enable support the girls themselves to implement in their advocacy and influencing.

LCOM Overview
This guide provides an introduction to the model and the tools necessary to implement the activities following the Minimum Standards alongside insights from CARE and EMpower’s experiences.
