Choices: Empowering boys and girls to change gender norms: A curriculum for 10 to 14 year olds in Nepal
- Author: jplummerexternal
- Published by: Save the Children International
This document outlines the curriculum used by Save the Children Nepal with young boys and girls participating in child clubs as it seeks to change gender attitudes and behaviours in younger adolescents, aged 10 to 14 years old, before they become firmly entrenched. It recognises that changing well-established gender-related attitudes and behaviors is challenging, especially when Nepali culture supports more restrictive gender roles for women and girls. The intervention aims to improve the lives of women and girls and contribute to girls’ empowerment through behavioural and attitudinal change.
